1UZ-FE EGR Delete Kit

Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems were introduced in the early 1970s to reduce exhaust emissions that were not being cleaned by other smog controls. The EGR block-off plates are for the 1990-1994 Lexus LS400 and 1992-1996 SC400. These plates might work on other 1UZ-FE models. These high quality CNC machined mild steel plates will allow you to completely remove the EGR system.

The factory EGR system allows super-heated exhaust gases to re-circulate from the rear of the cylinder head back to the intake manifold. The excessive heat at the rear of the head has been known to be the cause of detonation. Malfunctioned EGR valve leaks, reduced performance, and increase exhaust noises are common.

Replacing the EGR pipe is very expensive in parts and labor. This kit will eliminate these problems. The stock gaskets can be re-used from the EGR system. Installation instructions and the proper value resistor (prevents MIL to trigger) are also included. Please note that this modification is not legal for use on any pollution controlled vehicle and cannot be used on a public highway. Off road use only.
