Cometic Multi-Layer Steel Head Gaskets

Custom made Cometic multi-layer steel (MLS) head gaskets are available for the 1-3UZ-FE engines. Ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks. Two viton coated outer embossed spring steel layers with a steel inner layer provides support to the gasket allowing multiple thicknesses. These are built to withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks.

One nice thing about MLS is that re-torque is not necessary. Unlike copper gaskets, re-torque is required after the engine is warmed up. ARP head studs are highly required for the replacement. Stock OEM stretched bolts should not be used once it is taken out.
